From the back cover:
“Among the 122 recipes contained in this book are many which have been broadcast in the Kitchen Front radio programme. Fourteen of the recipes were selected by Miss Mabel Constanduros; fourteen by F. H. Grisewood ; a further selection was made from the recipes sent to the Ministry of Food by listeners in almost every part of the British Isles; and there is a special list taken from the broadcasts given by Dominion and foreign housewives now living in this country. The main body of the recipes are new.
We are indebted to the broadcasters named, to the many listeners whose contributions we are including, and to the Ministry of Food for permission to publish this collection.”
